Jay and I went to the DoodleBops show yesterday afternoon and we both had a great time. Some of you out there know I have confessed a bit of a crush on DeeDee Doodle, and she is definitely still my favorite DoodleBop after the show … such dancing and singing talent!

The actual TV performers were there to perform, and furthermore much of the show did NOT involve lip-synching (sp?). They did a very good job and of course Disney made sure the sets were well done, etc. We both had a great time. In true Disney fashion, there was lots of merchandise to buy … $20 for a light-up wand with a plastic flag on it for example. And people were snapping them up. One family bought four for their three kids and the mom. That’s eighty bucks! Yikes. Still, it was a great time and Jay danced along to some of his favorite songs (some of which I will admit I know by heart!!) The only tough part was leaving (and walking by the display of Rooney Doodle guitars (red plastic, makes a few noises) without buying one ($45). Hmmm, a MasterCard ad is playing in my mind.
