Merry Merry

Well, Christmas has come and gone, and this time Jay really … really … got into it!
As you can see, Jay decided that his whiffle ball tee made a pretty good microphone for karaoke. (The song was Jingle Bells, and he had a VERY enthusiastic audience.) There are some more pictures available in the 2006 Holidays photo album on our photo albums page.
When I put Jay to bed on Christmas night, we had a funny little conversation:
Me: “So, Jay, did you have a nice Christmas?”
Jay: “Yah.”
Me: “Did you like your presents?”
Jay: “Yah … I got a kitchen an’ a cuckoo clock.”
Me: “Yes, Santa was really good to you this year, wasn’t he?”
Jay: “Can we do it again?”
Me: “Christmas comes but once a year, buddy. We have to wait ’till next year for Santa to come back.”
Jay: “I wan’ go now.”
Me: “Oh, I know. It’s hard to wait until next year, but that’s how it works.”
Jay: “‘kay. … Santa coming tonight?”

Sorry I missed the stage show. Next Xmas is going to HAVE to be potluck/picnic style so I don’t miss a thing! Love the sticker! (Also the flight mask.)
